2001-2003 • Public Art Installation     Thorndyke Elementary School Ecolab A Community Design-build Project     Click below for   Planning Activities Designing Activities Building Activities Operational Activities       Volunteers Needed for a Community Design-build Project   Every Saturday 04 May till 15 June 9:00 AM till 3:00 PM At Thorndyke Elementary School in Tukwila We're building an Ecolab with children, staff, and parents at an elementary school with a large immigrant population near Seatac Airport. The project, which is an outgrowth of the 2000 Annual Design Charrette, involves installing a paved area that represents five continents and the bodies of water connecting those continents, and erecting a pavilion where children can study their "world." We need help digging and framing out the trench that will accept the pavers, and pouring concrete footings for the pavilion.
