Statement of Interest

My research and practice focus on community design and citizen participation particularly involving minority communities. I served as a project consultant and advisor of several community design projects including the urban design plan for the International District in Seattle and the master plan for Union Point Park in Oakland, California‚ a project that involved the local youths in generating the master plan and design for the park.
